They
say an artist has a lifetime to make his or her first record. Former Philadelphia
cult favorite David Byron Ragsdale (now making his mark in Portland, ME)
took that maxim to heart. In Here unearths a baker's dozen of rootsy,
power pop recordings that fit nicely alongside the likes of The Rasberries,
Marshall Crenshaw, and NRBQ. Check out the exhuberant "July", his would-be
Elvis movie track "Disappointed", and the dreamy "Woolgathering", and
you'll hear why it was time to set the stage for a sophomore effort.
